On November 27, 2009, a car accident caused her father's left calf to suffer a comminuted fracture. With the huge medical expenses and a long recovery period, Pingping's mother could no longer bear it and left home in May 2010 without any news. The family lost its only source of income. When Pingping's father felt desperate, five-year-old Pingping supported the entire family with her tender shoulders.

After the story of little Pingping taking care of her father was exposed by local TV stations and media in Shunde, it moved all the citizens of Shunde. Within just three days of media exposure, more than 50 batches of kind-hearted people came to donate money and living supplies. Yesterday, the reporter met an aunt who brought a large amount of living supplies.
