With the ups and downs of my life fading away, 2011 quietly slipped by with sound, and 2012 gradually arrived. From the end of 2010 to the close of 2011, amidst the tension and busyness, I worked on what was the most important Chinese New Year (CNY) project for Coca-Cola in a year. It was also my last CNY at Coca-Cola, where I faced opportunities and challenges as two choices before me. If I stayed, I believed that soon there would be even more challenging positions waiting for me in the direct sales department. If I left, I could pursue higher salary and benefits in the industry... After much consideration, it was time to draw a conclusion to my youthful Coca-Cola life.
The winter's cold slowly dissipated, giving way to a vibrant spring, and I entered a relatively intense work mode. After hustling for a week in Changde’s second-hand housing market, my resignation letter finally bore the seal of "Hubei Provincial Grain Coca-Cola Beverage Co., Ltd." After passing through multiple interviews and complex onboarding procedures, I joined Nestlé. The improved benefits and more relaxed working hours made me look forward to this new challenge. However, I never fully integrated into Nestlé's specialized catering sales model, failing to achieve satisfactory results in business. In August 2011, I formally submitted my resignation to my boss. Although every conversation with my superiors, including Brother Xiang, brought expressions of regret from them, I have never regretted this decision. Coca-Cola was one thing, and Nestlé was another...
Obtaining a one-year fitness card at Hai Xi Qing Fitness Club was one of the most important decisions I made in 2011. My 2011 was filled with too many unforeseen early gaps, and Hai Xi Qing became the place where I spent most of my free time. The truth that life lies in motion was realized to its fullest extent. But now, after being home for over a month, when I look in the mirror, another truth strikes me: Motion lies in persistence...
During the golden months of September and October, Vinda became my final stop in Changsha in 2011. There, I formally encountered the KA retail outlets I had long admired. At Vinda, I had the opportunity to learn the basic operational model of modern channels, and I met the most humane boss and colleagues who taught me a lot.
At the start of the year, I returned to Changde to enroll in driving lessons, passing all exams smoothly. On the day after obtaining my license at the driving test center, I officially became a licensed driver.
After the naivety of 2009 and the silence of 2010, 2011 was a year full of starts and small ups and downs. Now, these memories are vivid in my mind. Sometimes I feel reflective, other times I hesitate to face the reality of Changde online. Since I cannot fully articulate what I ultimately accumulated in that year, everyone must occasionally look back, Changde. Sometimes stopping to look back at the path we've walked can bring a pleasant surprise. No matter what, I’ve given a lot, been disappointed a lot, and changed a lot, stumbling along until time pushed me to this moment in 2012 Q4 - Jin Zhan Friends. Life never passes without yielding some harvest, but what we desire is to harvest more, more than we have invested, so we feel it's worth it?
What will today be like? I don’t dare say where I will be or what I will do... But I am sure I will keep moving forward. I won't stop again. This wandering is for a better peace in the future. Dinner time is approaching, loved ones are still on their way. Happy Spring Festival of 2012!
