The most fashionable of the year, the first "Dressed Asia 2009 Asian Fashion Awards" was held in Hangzhou. This gala featured 12 awards in total, covering numerous fashion-related industries such as clothing, styling, photography, and tourism. Fashion professionals from countries and regions including China, Vietnam, Thailand, India, Philippines, Singapore, Pakistan, South Korea, Japan, and Mongolia gathered together to celebrate this grand event. Yi Ming's identity as the Chief Stylist for the 2008 Beijing Olympics alone is enough to make him a top figure in the fashion circle. Previously, Yi Ming served as a stylist for celebrities like Zhang Ziyi, Jay Chou, and Zhao Wei. At the 2010 Asian Fashion Awards, Yi Ming received the title of "Most Fashionable Stylist of the Year." The 12 awards at this gala covered various fashion industries including clothing, styling, photography, competitions, and tourism.

In September 1998, Herve Leger was acquired by BCBG Max Azria, which was then set to be part of the Seagram’s Group. This was the first-ever acquisition of a French couturier by an American designer. In April 2007, Max Azria relaunched the Herve Leger label under his private development and creation path, offering a capsule summer and spring mini-collection available at select department stores and specialty retailers. In August 2007, a revamped large collection of new designs for Herve Leger Dresses, particularly the Herve Leger Bandage Dresses, was introduced for 2011.
