The husband and the lover actually made peace? A man hired a credit investigation company to catch his wife in the act of adultery. Unexpectedly, the investigator colluded with the lover and extorted money from him. Then they threatened the husband to sign a settlement agreement. After realizing that they were both duped by the investigators' two-faced tactics, the husband and the lover joined forces to sue the disreputable credit investigation company. As a result, the manager and two colleagues of the credit investigation company were prosecuted for fraud, leading to an unexpected reconciliation between the husband and the lover.

This special case, where the husband and the lover teamed up to expose the disreputable credit investigation company and then reconciled, occurred in November of last year. In Taipei, a Mr. Huang suspected his wife of having an affair and sought the services of a women and children's credit investigation company managed by surnames Lin and Hong, discussing his wife’s infidelity. Mr. Huang had expressed that he would only pay half of the compensation as a reward if they successfully caught her in the act. On the 18th of the same month, they succeeded in catching his wife, Ms. Huang, and Mr. Hu in a hotel room.

Afterward, Mr. Hu agreed to pay 2 million NT dollars as damages, initially paying 500 thousand but later stating he couldn't afford the remaining balance. After negotiations, he agreed to settle for 1 million NT dollars. On the day of payment, Mr. Lin called Mr. Hu asking to meet an hour earlier, claiming he was "authorized by Mr. Huang to collect the payment," and took 1 million NT dollars. When Mr. Huang arrived on time, a man named Mr. Li, who claimed to be associated with the Bamboo Union gang, falsely stated that he was acting on behalf of Mr. Hu to handle the settlement matters.

Mr. Li, accompanied by over ten people, intimidated Mr. Huang, forcing him to sign a document acknowledging receipt of 1 million NT dollars as part of the settlement and renouncing further claims for compensation, otherwise threatening adverse consequences. Pressured by the situation, Mr. Huang signed the document. Initially believing that Mr. Hu had instigated the intimidation, Mr. Huang filed charges against him. However, after police investigations revealed that it was the credit investigation company orchestrating the deception, Mr. Hu was acquitted of extortion charges, and Mr. Huang withdrew his charges of domestic interference. Following the incident, Mr. Huang divorced his wife, thus leading to the surprising reconciliation between the husband and the lover.
