"Out of control" dark blue container truck collided with 13 vehicles, one of which was a light blue minivan that was overturned, and a boy was thrown out of the vehicle and run over by the container truck resulting in his death.
Shenzhen News Network (Reporter Likjun Li, text/photo) - Accompanied by a series of loud bangs, at around 10 a.m. on the morning of July 7th near the traffic lights at the intersection of Shenhui Road and Toyoda Road in Longgang, close to the Shui'an Xindu area, an "out of control" blue container truck consecutively collided with cars waiting for the red light, causing a chain collision involving 13 vehicles. A 7-year-old boy from one of the minivans was thrown out of the car and instantly crushed to death by the blue container truck.
When the reporter arrived at the accident scene on the Xinsheng Village road section, there were large numbers of traffic police and emergency personnel from the street office busy at the scene. The entire Shenhui Road towards Longgang direction experienced severe traffic congestion. The offending vehicle was a blue container truck marked with the words "Anxin Logistics Co., Ltd." The front of the container truck was tightly wedged against a light blue minivan, with multiple nearby cars hit and scattered chaotically. The light blue minivan was flipped over on the ground, its roof severely dented, tires knocked off, and all glass shattered. According to police confirmation, the boy who died on the spot was thrown out from this light blue minivan by the container truck. This container truck also pushed a black Audi and another Toyota car into the central median strip, both cars sustaining serious damage. Several other vehicles had their rear ends and fronts severely deformed. The obvious braking marks left by the container truck extended for more than 30 meters.
One of the affected car owners, Mr. Jiang, said that when the intersection was red, everyone stopped to wait for the signal change. Suddenly, intense "boom boom" sounds were heard, before anyone could react, his car was pushed into the adjacent green belt. Witness Mr. Wang stated that the blue container truck came rushing from behind as if it hadn't applied any brakes, directly colliding with the queue of about ten vehicles waiting at the traffic light. "The container truck first crashed into the rear of a car in the fast lane, pushing it out of the lane, then continued forward hitting multiple trucks and cars in another lane. Possibly frightened, the driver of the blue container truck immediately steered back into the fast lane, heavily colliding with the light blue minivan, and after several consecutive collisions, finally came to a stop after crashing into the roadside median strip," said Officer Yu of the Longgang Traffic Police.
According to witness Mr. Jiang, the overturned light blue minivan carried a couple with two young boys. When the couple crawled out of the overturned car, they only managed to carry one boy out. The reporter observed that the container truck driver sat motionless inside the vehicle, not daring to get out. Two other drivers were injured in the accident and were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulance for treatment.
The driver of the offending container truck was taken away by Longgang traffic police for investigation. At around 11 a.m., the funeral home's vehicle also arrived at the scene. By noon at 12 p.m., the traffic police dragged multiple accident vehicles away from the scene, restoring traffic flow.

Minivan Crashes Into Restaurant
Two people were injured, but fortunately, they were not seriously hurt.
Shenzhen Special Economic Zone Daily News (Reporter Mingming Yang) - At 11:30 p.m. the previous evening, on the Junmin Road in Bujie, Longgang, a minivan parked on a slope was suspected of not having the handbrake applied and directly crashed into a roadside restaurant, injuring a pregnant woman and an elderly woman.
According to the restaurant owner, on the night of the incident, a driver parked the minivan on a slope opposite the neighborhood, then locked the door and left. However, not long after, a loud "bang" was heard as the minivan slid backward approximately 100 meters before crashing into the restaurant. In the incident, the offending minivan not only smashed the restaurant's glass doors and tables and chairs but also injured a young pregnant woman and an elderly woman in her sixties dining inside the restaurant. Subsequently, the two injured individuals were sent to Bujie Third People's Hospital by 120 emergency personnel for treatment. Fortunately, both are currently stable.
The involved minivan owner, Mr. Yi, stated that at the time of the incident, he was in a rush to go home for dinner and thus did not pay attention to whether he had applied the handbrake while parking. Currently, the accident is still under further investigation and handling.
