Achieving Team Brilliance: Reflections on Hua Tus's Group Tour of the Seven Star Crags
The journey to the Seven Star Crags in Zhaoqing has given me a deep appreciation for an eight-character saying: "Seeing is believing, hearing is doubting." I had heard that the scenery of the Seven Star Crags was incredibly beautiful, known as the "Celestial Dipper on Earth" and the "First Marvel of Lingnan." Today, my heart was filled with excitement. We were staying at the Panyu Lingnan Impression Park, and I had already packed my bags early in the morning. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't cooperating, with thunderstorms starting early in the morning. However, this did not deter our enthusiasm for the trip.
We first gathered at the factory premises, where many colleagues had arrived before me, clearly more excited and looking forward to the tour more than I was. For this trip, we were divided into three groups: Power Group, Passion Group, and Harmony Group. Everyone from the same workshop formed one group, and I was in the Power Group. The HR department and the tour guides announced various matters on the playground, during which time colleagues from the factory gradually arrived. After counting everyone, we boarded the bus and set off.
Our first stop was the new factory, where we will work in the future. I had seen pictures of our new factory in the factory’s brochures. The new factory was very beautiful and spacious. After an hour's drive, we arrived at our first stop, the new factory. As shown in the materials, Guangdong Huatus Building Materials Industry Co., Ltd. is located in the Dawang National-level High-tech Development Zone Industrial Park in Zhaoqing City, with convenient transportation. The environment within the factory area is elegant, the workshops are spacious, and the office buildings are modern and comfortable. Indeed, the factory area is vast. We all took photos together, slowly walking around the future workplace, imagining the scenarios of working here in the future, eagerly anticipating the day we move here. Slowly, we walked through each spacious workshop, canteen, dormitory, office building, and more...
Next, there was an extremely passionate and team-building friendly game competition called "Invincible Wind Fire Wheel." On the ground, there were several large circles made of newspapers, these were the so-called wind fire wheels. Each group selected 10 people to participate in the game. Within the game, the 10 people had to reach the finish line as quickly as possible inside the wind fire wheel, either walking or running, without committing any fouls. Of course, as it was a competition, there were rewards. The first-place winner received 200 yuan, the second-place winner 100 yuan, and the third-place winner 50 yuan. The competition was fierce, and in the end, the Passion Group won first place, while the Harmony Group won second and third place. Our Power Group didn’t rank in the top three, but seeing their joy after winning, we weren’t sad either. After all, it’s just a game; rankings don’t matter as long as it brings happiness to us all, and that’s enough. By the time the game ended, it was noon, and it was time for lunch. Of course, we went to eat first. After finishing our meal, our real travel journey began, heading to our destination—Zhaoqing's Seven Star Crags.
The Seven Star Crags scenic area is located in the northern part of Zhaoqing and is a natural scenic area of karst topography, consisting of five lakes, six ridges, seven peaks, and eight caves. The Seven Star Crags are composed of seven steep limestone peaks arranged like the Big Dipper constellation, scattered across a 650-hectare mirror-like water surface, with mountains encircling the water, creating a captivating landscape. There are caves in the mountains, rivers in the caves, clear water, and charming scenery. The mountains in the water and the water in the mountains form unique landscapes. Being immersed in such beauty leaves one feeling refreshed and reluctant to leave. After the tour group bought the group tickets, we each entered the Seven Star Crags. What left the deepest impression upon entering the Seven Star Crags was the lush greenery. Passing by the fish pond, suspension bridge, and lotus pond, walking along the waterside path felt like stepping into a painting. The mountains rise from the water, and the water surrounds the mountains, resembling a massive potted plant. Gazing at the Seven Star Crags, besides the seven prominent peaks, what stretches endlessly is the emerald-green water, making it hard to notice any flat land. There aren’t many buildings here, revealing the charm of nature everywhere, as if far removed from human habitation.
Before I knew it, I had arrived at the place I most wanted to see—the Dragon Rock Cave of the Seven Star Crags. Spending 10 yuan for a ticket, I boarded a small boat. Listening to the guide’s introduction on the boat, admiring the vivid stone carvings, it felt like entering a fairyland. Recalling a poem I read in school—"Staying Overnight at Tianzhu Pavilion": “Seven stars fall to the earth, the celestial pillar stands amidst the stream. Many red bean trees among the mountains, windows facing the White Duck Island. Under the moon opening the rhombus mirror, in the clouds tying the colorful pavilion. Staying overnight for one night, the lights are in Duanzhou.” Looking at it today, it is indeed true. After about ten minutes, the small boat returned to the cave side, and only then did I snap out of my reverie. Looking back at the fairyland-like rock cave, I couldn’t help but feel reluctant to leave. As the ancients said, "The sunset is infinitely beautiful, but it is near dusk," wonderful things are always fleeting, but at this moment, I have another feeling: because it is brief, it is worth cherishing, worth remembering, so it is not short-lived because it will forever remain in my mind, forever in my memories.
Leaving the cave, looking at the time, it was already 3 PM, and we didn’t have much time left since we needed to gather at the West Gate at 3:30 PM. Therefore, we couldn't wander around too much and hurried towards the West Gate. Along the way, we saw all kinds of sights, and looking at such beautiful scenery left me wanting more. Unfortunately, we had to return to gather. Otherwise, I would have liked to explore further, enjoying what is described as "mountains in the lake, caves in the mountains, rivers in the caves, scenes in the city but no sight of the city, beautiful like a fairyland on earth." This is the most comprehensive description of Zhaoqing's Seven Star Crags, but when you truly arrive at the Seven Star Crags, your feelings will certainly be more profound. It combines various qualities, even reminding you of Jiuzhaigou's beauty, Guilin's elegance, and West Lake's graceful posture. Marshal Ye Jianying's poem may not fully summarize it, but it is undoubtedly the most fitting description: "Borrowing a circle of water from the West Lake, moving seven piles of mountains from Yangshuo; adding some willows by the dike, leaving a painting between heaven and earth."
Unconsciously, we had already reached the West Gate. People say that Dinghu Mountain is also worth visiting, with its Fairy Lake offering splendid scenery. Unfortunately, time didn't allow it. Looking back again, I still couldn't bear to leave, but time waits for no one. Gradually, other colleagues also came out. During the trip, we forgot the fatigue of work and the pressures of life, fully enjoying the happy moments of the tour. We look forward to Hua Tus's next team trip, where we will be even more passionate, and our slogan remains: Achieving Team Brilliance.
This team trip can be considered a successful conclusion. Reflecting on every detail of this trip, it seems to carry some significance. Thinking about our slogan, "Achieving Team Brilliance," this trip should focus on team spirit and management philosophy. Under the socialist market economy system, with the large-scale disintegration of traditional units, teams have gradually become an important component of social organizations. As a new social phenomenon, teams have their own management rules. Building team spirit and strengthening the self-management concept of organizational members can enhance the cohesion of the team and the social competitiveness of the organization. Team spirit is the concentrated embodiment of social cultural traditions and the spirit of the times in organizational culture, influencing the development of the organization, standardizing the behavior of its members, and contributing to the improvement of organizational management efficiency. Therefore, in future work, we must rely tightly on the strength of the team, uphold the team spirit, always adhere to being conscientious and innovative, work diligently, cherish today, firmly grasp tomorrow, and surely achieve our goals for this year.
