The Guilin trip ended on the night of the 28th, and I returned to my lovely home. Considering the employees' fatigue from traveling and commuting, the company gave a 3-day holiday. (Cheer) From the end of March to the end of July, for a whole four months, I learned a lot in "Set Free Dreams". I have never forgotten why I persisted in my position at "Set Free", regardless of how tired or pressured I was. I tried my best to endure and slowly convinced myself to persevere! My mom just hopes that I am happy. She always worries about me, knowing that I am stubborn and fears that I will be wronged. Thank you, Dad, for giving me immense spiritual support at Lingnan Impression Park in Panyu! I remember my brother once taught me that every job helps with better choices in the future, so I must treat my current work with one hundred percent enthusiasm! In fact, I worked hard on it.
From being initially lost to later being able to independently complete certain tasks, I should have grown up, growing together with "Set Free". From the first time hosting a school event on-site to gradually becoming familiar with and enjoying the process, others cannot see my happiness, as the guide to Lingnan Impression Park points out. At first, I just copied Ma's procedures and followed the steps. Gradually... I made the entire scene more interactive and lively. Whenever we did performance practices and saw the smiling faces of primary school students on and off stage, I couldn't help but laugh. The world of children is always so pure! Regardless of how unhappy I was when I arrived at the school, once the live program recording started, I became excited, haha.
"Set Free" has a group of excellent young actors who, despite their young age, each have unique characteristics. Through repeated practical activities and outdoor shoots, I could see their progress. "Let Love Spread" and the Guilin trip revealed more aspects that were not usually seen.
On July 16, 17, and 18, the filming of "Let Love Spread" took place. It left a deep impression on me. On the morning of the 16th, we filmed on the steps of the Civic Center under heavy rain that wouldn't stop. In the afternoon at the Garden Expo Park, it drizzled continuously. The primary school students participating in the shoot came from different schools, fortunately, the parents were all reasonable. On the 17th and 18th, it was blazing hot, and everyone got sunburned. Especially on the 17th at the top of Lotus Mountain, climbing up and down exhausted us. The staff had instant noodles for lunch. This was my second time shooting with the film crew, it was really tough, and there were many unexpected situations. It was very challenging, but I also learned a lot.
From July 21st to 28th, I went to Guilin for field research and filmed "Water Street Ballad." First of all, I want to say that I got even darker. Tingting, don't say I'm beyond saving... Guilin's landscapes are the best under heaven, they are truly beautiful, making me feel like I was walking in a painting. We stayed at Yan Mountain Garden at first, and on the second day, we visited half of the garden. I visited the architecture from the Republic of China era by my idol Lin Huiyin and her husband Liang Sicheng. There was also the wishing divine camphor tree, over a thousand years old. It is said that walking around the tree happily five times can pray for blessings for elders. I indeed walked around the tree five times at midnight. Principal Zhang introduced us to the Young Master Building and the Miss Building, where famous celebrities and great writers lived, such as Yue Xi and Guo Moruo... Principal Zhang also told us many of their stories.
In the following days, we filmed the music video for "Water Street Ballad" on Xing'an Water Street and had the opportunity to witness the scenery of the Lingqu Canal.
On the evening of the 27th, at the Lingnan International Grand Hotel, a gala was jointly completed by the young actors from "Set Free" and the young actors from the Xing'an Lingqu Singer Class. The programs were varied. The scene was lively, and Director Lin directed efficiently. I indulged in being a producer, regretfully I was on the side stage, and the loud sound drowned out the walkie-talkie sounds. Sister Zhao was anxious about the order of the scene, anxiously searching for actors throughout the venue to solve sudden problems. Teacher Xu was responsible for the main camera position, Teacher Zhu Xiao was responsible for the side camera position and extras, and Director Lin watched the monitor... After the gala ended, Director Lin asked me how I felt, and I began to summarize and accumulate experience.
"Set Free Dreams" is the place where I grew up, allowing me to learn a lot. In terms of work, I still need to accumulate more experience while I am young. I am very grateful for the care of Director Lin and Director Ma, the so-called favoritism of Teacher Xu, and the full support of Sister Zhao! For Sister Jiajin's quiet contributions. Ha ha, there are people whose names I won't mention, but I know they will understand my gratitude.
