During interviews yesterday, many traffic police expressed their feelings: when a bus violates traffic rules, all the passengers on board are affected. It's quite a dilemma to punish buses.

"It's even worse when some passengers speak rudely during '100-day Action to Welcome Asian Games' which investigated 23 ships violating regulations," Ling Yun said, "they even scold us. We are indeed in a difficult situation because law enforcement has become more humanized. Most of the time, we just give warnings and rarely impose actual penalties, but without punishment, there is no governance."

Citizen Ms. Cao stated that whether it's a bus or a private car, any violation should be handled according to the law.

Some citizens suggest that innocent passengers can complain to the bus driver or the bus company to urge them to operate more standardly, or wait until the bus reaches the destination before dealing with the issue.

Taxi Passenger Management Office: In the recent period, 13 taxi drivers had their service qualifications revoked.

Yesterday, Mu Tong, the captain of the inspection team at the Taxi Passenger Management Office who was involved in the law enforcement on-site, introduced that for traffic violations by taxis, while the police handle the cases, the management office also registers the violators and punishes them according to internal industry regulations, including internal fines, suspension for learning, and revocation of operating qualifications.

Since our newspaper began reporting on Zhengzhou's traffic decongestion actions, the passenger management office has actively responded. As of yesterday, they have corrected 1,925 various traffic violations by taxis.

They have suspended operations and trained 436 taxi drivers, revoked the service qualifications of 13 people, and dealt with other violations by drivers according to regulations in 510 cases.

It is understood that in last year's evaluation, the highest record of taxi violations was nearly 30 "electronic eyes" per month, averaging one violation per day.

Bus Company: Rewards for civilized drivers

At the intersection of Daxue Road and Longhai Road, Zhang Guochuan, the head of the Inspection Department of the Bus General Corporation who participated in law enforcement on-site, introduced that the corporation attaches great importance to the recent reports by the Zhengzhou Evening News about traffic violations by buses. They specifically launched a "Civilized Service Competition Activity", calling on drivers to strive to drive star-rated civilized vehicles and become star-rated drivers.

For vehicles and drivers without traffic violations, they conduct star ratings and reward them with amounts ranging from 100 yuan to 300 yuan based on one, two, or three stars.

Recently, the company has jointly corrected 966 types of traffic violations with the traffic police. Among these, 85 were for running signals or intentionally borrowing other lanes to indirectly run signals, 417 for not driving in the designated lanes, 119 for forced overtaking, 186 for parallel driving, and 159 for not stopping as required at stations.

Among these, more than 500 bus captains have received education.
