We may know more or less some self-help methods for emergencies, but you might not know that your cell phone can save your life in emergencies. Take a look at the following and learn what your mobile phone can do:
1. Emergency phones around the world can call a common emergency number: 112. If you find yourself in an area without cellular coverage and you encounter an emergency situation, use your cell phone to dial 112. Be sure to do this because at this time, your phone will automatically search all possible networks and establish an emergency call. Interestingly, even if your phone is in keypad lock state, you can still try calling 112.
2. Have you ever lost the remote control to your car? Does your car have a remote control to open it? If so, one day you might lose the remote control to your car, and then return home without it. In this case, you can use your mobile phone to call a family member's cell phone. Take your cell phone about a foot away from the door, while the family member holds the remote control next to their ringing phone and presses the button on the remote control key. Here, you can open the door. This method works no matter how far away you leave the car from home.
3. If your cell phone's backup battery power is low and you want to continue using it, press *3370#. The phone will restart, and you will find that the amount of electricity has increased by 50%. This part of the hidden reserve capacity can be used until you run out of charge and recharge. The battery backup also hides a charge, which can be used again when power consumption is low. Knowing this is very useful in case of emergency if your phone is running low on power.
4. If your cell phone is stolen, there is a way to make it useless for the thief! Just view the phone’s serial number by typing *#06#. A 15-digit cell phone serial number will appear on your phone screen. Each phone in the world has a unique serial number. Record and save this serial number well. One day, if unfortunately your phone is stolen, call your phone provider and provide the serial number of your phone. They will help shield your phone so that even if the thief changes the SIM card, they still cannot use your phone, making it useless for the thief. If every cell phone holder around the world does this, stealing phones would become meaningless.
