Emphasizing learning and being good at learning are excellent traditions formed by our Party in long-term practice, and also an important political advantage of our Party. The era we are in today is one characterized significantly by change, adjustment, and innovation. Based on the new historical situation, the Fourth Plenary Session of the 17th CPC Central Committee clearly put forward to the whole Party the major strategic task of building a Marxist learning-oriented party. To grasp learning with a strategic perspective not only involves studying the Party's innovative theories, its lines, principles, and policies, as well as various kinds of knowledge required for socialist modernization construction, but also studying the profound and extensive Chinese national excellent traditional culture, and being good at drawing beneficial nutrition from it to improve one's own humanistic quality. For this purpose, this journal will irregularly launch a Sinology lecture hall to discuss the enlightenment of Chinese traditional culture on doing things and being an official today with relevant experts.
