Aaron Curry, Get Woodlands, nfl jersey for women, Elderly, 6’2” 254lbs:
Strengths: Curry is believed by many people to be the most trusted choice from the draft and looks destined for fame in the next phase. He possesses the versatility to play every linebacker position, but his best position may be on the strong side. Curry excels at the point of attack, and has all the athleticism and intelligence of a great fighter. He shows quality in run defense, is a sure tackler, and can also get after the passer.
Weaknesses: There isn’t really any specific weakness to his game, and he should play well in scheme and space.
Rey Maualuga, USC, Mature, 6’2” 249lbs:
Strengths: An absolutely punishing hitter, Maualuga has dished out his share of feature-reel takedowns on opponents. He has also been an emotional leader on the nation’s top defense, and the energy he brings to the game is contagious. Maualuga is a ruthless player and effective when blitzing as well.
Weaknesses: Due to his aggressiveness, Maualuga has a tendency to over-pursue running plays, which makes him vulnerable to misdirection and play-action fakes. He also struggles in coverage because he is not very smooth in his hip transitions and often seems uncomfortable.
Brian Cushing, USC, Adult, 6’3” 243lbs:
Strengths: Cushing is another standout linebacker from USC and is a physical specimen who won’t be outworked. Cushing is also very fast and explosive when pursuing the quarterback. He offers the flexibility to play in both the 4-3 and the 3-4 schemes.
Weaknesses: Some might call it flexibility, others might call it not having a true position. Cushing will need to convince scouts that he can truly play in these systems.
