According to reports (by reporter Zhang, communications officer Zhang Ping, Cao Hongbo, and interns Xu Xinyi and Chen Shuang), Macheng police have solved a homicide that occurred on Industrial Road on November 28th, and the suspect, Mr. Yu, has been criminally detained.

At 1:30 PM on November 28th, a deliberate assault leading to death occurred at the Labor Training Center on Industrial Road in Macheng City. The victim, Mr. Xia, was stabbed in the abdomen with a sharp weapon and died after unsuccessful rescue attempts. Another victim, Mr. Xu, suffered serious injuries, and the status of the suspect remained unknown.

Macheng police learned through investigation that before the incident, Mr. Xu had a minor collision with a middle-aged man while riding a motorcycle, which led to an argument. Mr. Xu then invited Mr. Xia and others to beat up the middle-aged man. Subsequently, the middle-aged man brought along a young man for revenge. The young man, armed with a dagger, stabbed Mr. Xia and Mr. Xu before fleeing.

After detailed investigations, the special task force discovered that Mr. Yu, a 21-year-old from Xinzhou, was a major suspect in the case. At around 8 PM on November 29th, the police apprehended Mr. Yu. After interrogation, Mr. Yu confessed that he indeed acted out of vengeance for his father. Mr. Yu's father deeply regretted causing harm to his son due to his own impulsive actions.

Currently, the case is still under further review.
