Currently, the Chaoyang police have arrested the suspect.
According to residents in the neighborhood, the old man is a local resident of Beijing and has lived in the community for many years. On the day of the incident, he was alone in his room. A neighbor said that the old man "always had a good temper". The young couple who had the quarrel with the old man were described as having an irritable temperament and "often arguing with others".
An informed source revealed that the young couple was playing the piano at home, making loud sounds. The old man living downstairs found it too noisy and tapped on the floor with a wooden stick to remind them to lower the volume, but it was ineffective. Subsequently, the old man went upstairs to reason with the young couple, and during the quarrel, his right hand got injured.
According to eyewitnesses, a young man with a knife chased the old man all the way from the 5th floor where he lived to the 4th floor where the old man lived, and finally injured him. After someone called the police, the officers from the Pingfang Police Station of Chaoyang District arrived at the scene, subdued and took away the man with the knife. Subsequently, the emergency medical personnel of 120 quickly sent the injured person to the General Hospital of Beijing Military Region.
The hospital informed reporters that the injured person's right wrist artery was cut, with a wound length of 4 centimeters. He was out of danger after surgery.
