Shenzhen Special Zone News Report (Reporter Ma Yan, Correspondent Li Yi) - It was learned from Shenzhen police yesterday that at 21:00 on August 26, the Ministry of Public Security deployed a nationwide unified operation to crack down on the "August 11" series of cases involving internet distribution of obscene materials. Shenzhen police arrested three criminal suspects, including Wang Mourong, the main suspect in the case.
According to Shenzhen police, during the recent severe crackdown on cybercrime investigations, the Ministry of Public Security discovered an obscene website forum called "Ke Ren'er Community," which contained a large number of pornographic images and video clips. Investigations revealed that over 1,000 membership-level users across the country had uploaded pornographic images and videos to this site for profit, covering 23 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions. The Ministry of Public Security named this case as the "August 11" Internet Pornography Distribution Series Case and launched a unified nationwide operation at 21:00 on August 26.
After receiving instructions from the Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial Department of Public Security, on the evening of August 26, police officers from various units including the Municipal Public Security Patrol Brigade, Cyber Police Brigade, Special Police Brigade, Futian Public Security Bureau, and Bao'an Public Security Bureau quietly gathered and made urgent deployments. Based on prior investigation, the police locked onto the suspects hiding in Shenzhen. The operation teams split into three groups to carry out arrests. That night, the Public Security Patrol Brigade, in conjunction with the Futian Public Security Bureau, arrested the suspect Sun Moufu (male, Shenzhen native, 56 years old), while the Public Security Patrol Brigade, together with the Bao'an Branch, arrested the suspect Lu Mou (male, Hunan native, 23 years old). Additionally, Shenzhen police assisted Beijing police in capturing Wang Mourong (female, Hunan native, 23 years old), the main suspect in the "August 11" Internet Pornography Distribution Series Case, in Luohu. Preliminary investigations revealed that all three suspects admitted to uploading obscene materials to the "Ke Ren'er Community" forum for profit. The case is currently under further review.
