**Swan Washing Machine Repair Case: XQB40-868FC Model Washing Machine Does Not Drain**
**Problem Description:** The water intake and washing functions operate normally, but the machine does not drain water after the wash cycle is completed.
**Inspection and Diagnosis:** This situation indicates a fault in the drainage system. The focus should be on checking the drainage valve and the drainage solenoid (traction device). After inspection, it was found that the drainage valve was not clogged, but the rod of the drainage valve body could not reset, indicating a problem with the drainage solenoid.
The structure and working principle of the drainage solenoid are as follows: Inside the drainage solenoid, there is a small stepper motor and a relay. When the solenoid is connected to an AC voltage of 220V, the stepper motor rotates, causing the solenoid rod to move. Under the action of the support rod, the drainage valve and the clutch fork move, switching the machine from the washing state to the drainage state. Inside the drainage solenoid, there is also a transfer switch. Once the rod reaches its position, it pushes the transfer switch, cutting off power to the motor while the relay starts working, locking the rod mechanism, and keeping the washing machine in the drainage state. When the drainage solenoid is powered off, the relay is also powered off, unlocking the rod mechanism, and the rod is pulled back to its reset position.
Based on the above principle, it was suspected that the small stepper motor inside the solenoid was damaged. Upon disassembly and measurement, it was found that the coil had opened.
**Repair Method:** Replace the stepper motor with the same model, and the fault was resolved.
