The fisherman is sitting on the back of a huge sturgeon.
In September 5, 2010, while fishing in the Heilongjiang River, the Yang brothers from Shengli Village, Wuyun Town, Jiayin County, Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province, caught a sturgeon weighing over 500 jin (approximately 250 kg) and measuring nearly 3 meters in length. The scientific name for this sturgeon is Huso dauricus, which belongs to the Acipenseridae family. Originating 130 million years ago, it is one of the ancient life forms that survived from the Cretaceous period, having coexisted with dinosaurs on Earth, and is known as a "living fossil" in the water. The Huso dauricus is ferocious in nature, belongs to the category of large carnivorous fish, and can live for over 50 years. It now only exists in the Heilongjiang River, which serves as the border river between China and Russia. According to local villagers, this sturgeon could be sold for around 150,000 yuan.
