Like a superstar undoubtedly possesses its benefits. They get to be a superstar within reach of various opportunities such as appearing in videos, enjoying albums in 2011, traveling the world, attending award shows, and endorsing products and solutions. It's all wonderful, but I truly believe the best advantage is the ability to use your status to give back and support special causes that mean something to you. The latest superstar to contribute to a worthy charity initiative? Kristen Stewart.
The Twilight star recently donated some vintage Keds sneakers to Shoe Revolt.
Shoe Revolt is a non-profit initiative aimed at educating teenagers about the issue of human trafficking, a problem that exploits young people and places them in dangerous situations. Her donation will help raise funds for numerous activities that fall under the Shoe Revolt program.
In a past interview with Vogue magazine, Kristen admitted that she hoped to find a way to develop a program that fights against human trafficking offenses:
She’s thinking strategically, rationally, about how best she can put her personal influence to use, and has conceptualized a plan—inspired by her research on the plight of runaways in the sex trade—to establish a multi-level system of halfway houses for people who need support to get back on their feet. “That would be amazing,” she confirms. “Right now, it’s the thing I feel most connected to.”
I believe it's an excellent charity, and it's great that Kristen is donating to a cause that could help many of her younger fans. What do you think about Kristen’s latest charitable endeavor?
