Crude the Cat: A Remarkable Journey
By Kou Nan, Special Correspondent for the Global Times - According to a report by Germany's Bild on the 16th, an Australian male cat went missing three years ago from Tasmania and somehow crossed the sea to reach Queensland, located in the northeast of mainland Australia. The entire journey covered approximately 3,800 kilometers. Recently, this small cat was finally found and returned to its owner.
According to reports, the cat is named Crude, who went missing from his owner’s home three years ago on Tasmania, which is at the southeastern end of Australia. Recently, Crude was discovered in Queensland, Australia, and his identity was confirmed through a biochip.
Pet doctor Donna Webber, speaking in an interview with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, said that after Crude went missing, his owner posted lost cat notices in southern Tasmania but unfortunately had no success.
According to reports, when Crude was first found, he appeared somewhat sickly. "It was clear that he had become like a wild cat," Donna said. "But fortunately, he quickly regained his health."
Now, Crude's owners, the Kathleen Philips family, are very happy because their pet has been reunited with them. Kathleen Philips said that three years ago, Crude boarded a ship at a dock in Tasmania and eventually made his way to the Australian mainland.
