The leader's car is suspected of using fake license plates
After receiving the tip, the reporter found this five-minute-long video on the Potato Video website. This video was uploaded on May 15 by a netizen named "Lajibaizi".
The video shows that on the afternoon of May 13, a Toyota Camry sedan was stopped by traffic police near the intersection of Renmin Road and Duliu Street in Zhengzhou City for violating driving restrictions. The officer found that the car did not have license plates hung on it. Upon the officer's request, when the driver opened the trunk, there was a license plate inside with the number Yu AW7065. When asked where the license plate came from, the driver kept saying "I don't know". When required to show the vehicle registration certificate, the driver took out a certificate with the car number Yu DAD166, which belonged to a certain agency in Baofeng County.
Yesterday afternoon, the reporter got in touch with the involved officer, Officer Zhao, who confirmed the authenticity of the video.
Officer: After the sedan was stopped, the leader made arrogant remarks
An officer involved from the Zhengzhou Traffic Police Detachment Four said that on the afternoon of May 13, he and his colleagues were on duty when they discovered that the car had violated driving restrictions, so they stopped the car. When they asked the driver to open the trunk, the driver was unwilling to do so, leading to an argument between both sides. During the argument, a man who looked like a leader sitting in the back seat of the car got out and said, "You're just a little cop, why are you so nosy!"
During the argument, the man took out a "red small book" to show the officer. The document showed that the man was a leader of Baofeng County, surnamed Li. "At the time, this leader said he would write down my badge number, and if he didn't complain about me, he wouldn't stop! He also said he would ruin me."
The involved officer said that unexpectedly, he was really complained about, and the Provincial Public Security Department's Supervision Corps had come down to investigate him. After an alcohol test, the police supervision personnel found that the alcohol content of the officer was "0".
Investigation: A license plate that had been scrapped for three years appeared on the leader's car
According to the officer, after the incident, he investigated the situation of the Yu AW7065 license plate. After checking through the police network, he found that this license plate belonged to a red Changan minivan, owned by Mr. Wu from Xinmi, and the car had been scrapped for three years.
Through the officer, the reporter learned that the driver who received the punishment at the time was named Chen Shengli. Subsequently, the reporter got in touch with the office staff of a certain agency in Baofeng County. The staff member indicated that Chen Shengli was indeed their unit's driver, driving for leader Li Jie.
The reporter contacted Chen Shengli by phone, who said that at the time of the incident, the leader was indeed sitting in the back seat of the car. How did a license plate that had been scrapped for three years appear on the leader's car? The reporter will continue to track this matter.
