Mr. Xie, the founder of ECF

Upon meeting Principal Xie and explaining the purpose of our visit, he smiled and said, "I can understand your suspicions. This is indeed a challenge. I have been teaching English for over 20 years and have seen many students with excellent results in science subjects but poor English skills, leading to failing the middle and high school entrance exams. As an English teacher, I feel deeply saddened by this and wanted to solve this problem. After years of research, I combined American teaching methods with the learning characteristics of Chinese students and developed a brand new English teaching method suitable for Chinese students - the ECF teaching method. I also compiled corresponding English textbooks."

Principal Xie said, "There are many reasons why students perform poorly in English, usually manifested as fear of reading and memorization, lack of focus during class, and disinterest in English. Traditional teaching methods cannot solve this problem; they fail to help students form English thinking patterns. Often, teachers put in a lot of effort, yet students' interest in learning English does not increase, and they learn nothing. Some students, under heavy parental pressure and repetitive, monotonous teaching from teachers, even lose more interest in learning English. Their academic performance doesn't improve but instead declines significantly. Therefore, many children attend numerous tutoring sessions, and parents spend a lot of money, yet the child's English scores remain unchanged, affecting their future prospects."

"How do you enhance students' interest in learning English?" In response to this question, Principal Xie answered, "This is a complex issue. To put it simply, first, I personally analyze the current learning status and mindset of each child who comes to study and formulate different learning plans for various stages. The textbooks used at school are recompiled based on these stages and foundations, so students at different levels use different textbooks. Each time they study, they feel significant improvement, which greatly increases their interest in learning English. Secondly, we start with building a foundation before moving onto practice. We first help students develop a certain level of English thinking ability, then combine the foundation with practice in teaching. This way, students won't find learning difficult and will maintain a strong interest in learning."

In fact, the main reason for the formation of poor performers in English is problematic learning habits and behavior patterns. While doing a good job in teaching, we emphasize correcting students' incorrect learning habits and behaviors. For introverted students, we encourage them to report daily in front of everyone to make their personalities more active and positive. For extroverted students, we strengthen behavioral constraints and guidance, enabling them to focus on studying. This fundamentally addresses the child's learning issues.

Principal Xie emphasized, "There are many students in Nanjing whose futures have been delayed due to poor English. Therefore, I want to promote this project widely so that more and more students struggling with English can benefit from it and change their destinies."

Summer vacation is the golden period for students to learn English, with learning efficiency being several times higher than usual. A mid-level or lower-performing student can become an excellent one after just one summer of training. To allow more children to change their destinies and facilitate their learning while solving the difficulties of parents picking up and dropping off their children, Mr. Xie has collaborated with excellent in-service teachers to set up a teaching point on the 20th floor of Jinlun Building in Xinjiekou. Parents should not miss this opportunity. Phone number: 83355479.
