The movie "Super Frog Warrior" received enthusiastic support from children across the country on the day of its release, Children's Day. By 11 a.m. on June 2nd, the box office revenue of "Super Frog Warrior" had already easily exceeded 5 million yuan. Following this trend, the movie's opening weekend box office will reach 30 million yuan. A senior cinema manager in Beijing stated that the screening period for this 3D domestic animated film will be longer than that of ordinary 2D films. If there is no impact from Hollywood's heavyweight 3D films during the screening period, the film will steadily perform well during the prime summer season and may even create another box office miracle for domestic animated films exceeding 100 million yuan (the first being "Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf").
As China's top 3D stereoscopic animated film, "Super Frog Warrior" has reached a technical level comparable to Hollywood's 3D production techniques. Director Tsui Hark was full of confidence during an interview. The entire 90-minute film of "Super Frog Warrior" consists of over 1200 shots, all made in 3D, with more than 700 pure stereoscopic shots. Just talking about the prop models in the film, the fully equipped high-model AIU reaches one million quadrilateral faces, which can be said to have reached the limit of today's computer hardware. This film is also the first independently created 3D animated film by Chinese people to be distributed overseas by foreign companies, marking a significant breakthrough for Chinese cinema.
