In order to earnestly implement the "Agricultural Machinery Safety Supervision Regulations" and fully implement the spirit of the Ministry of Agriculture's General Office Notice on the "2010 Agricultural Machinery Production Safety Year Activity", a large-scale rectification campaign was jointly launched by the Ping乐 County Agricultural Machinery Bureau, the Safety Supervision Bureau, and the Public Security Traffic Police Team starting from May 25th for a period of half a month across the county. This campaign aims to severely address violations of traffic regulations by tractors and fully prevent the occurrence of agricultural machinery traffic accidents.
The focus of this rectification includes: overloaded transportation by tractors, illegal carriage of passengers, unauthorized transportation, driving unlicensed or uninspected/unqualified tractors for transportation, tractors without third-party liability insurance on the road, failure to participate in vehicle inspections as required, and driving unreviewed, scrapped, or illegally assembled tractors on the road, among various other violations and illegal acts.
During the joint rectification activities, the source management will be strengthened, strictly controlling the inspection and testing of tractors, ensuring proper training (annual review) of drivers, and rigorously examining and issuing licenses. Additionally, efforts will be made to strengthen traffic safety education and publicity. The joint rectification requires all departments to enhance communication, maintain close collaboration, and promote the special rectification campaign.
According to statistics, up to now, 48 cases of agricultural machinery violations have been corrected, and 12 violative tractors have been impounded, achieving phased results.
