"When I came back from running errands, it was around 5 or 6 in the afternoon, and I saw Master Zhang feeding an old man. I asked about the situation and learned that this old man had been there for several hours. Captain Zhang went to the restaurant and made a bowl of noodles. That day, Zhengzhou was quite cold. Seeing the old man shivering from the cold with trembling hands unable to hold anything, Captain Zhang fed him spoonful by spoonful."
On August 25th, netizen Shen Chao captured on the street a moment when Zhang Fushan fed the elderly man.
So, what mindset do those who say it's a publicity stunt have when they talk? If one day you encounter something similar, would that be a publicity stunt too? Don't doubt others' kindness. If you've been helped by strangers in times of need, then when strangers are in trouble, offer your help within your ability. Society should be like this. How to quickly slim the face.
Reporter: A few days ago, that young man ate noodles for you, do you remember him?
Fake, intentionally hyping. The beggar is actually the boss of the store in disguise. If they're capable, they shouldn't include the restaurant name in the photo.
If it truly were for show, I hope everyone could put on such a show.
Are there really people this good? This is all planned; the goal is just to become famous. You guys are too naive.
At the time, I only thought about finishing the meal and letting the old man eat a hot bowl of food to warm his body and not feel hungry. If I encounter such a situation again, I would still do the same. Imagine yourself getting old; it's all the same. Don't mention me; even if another passerby saw it, they would extend a helping hand.
From China National Radio Zhengzhou, August 31st news reported on "A Kind Security Guard Feeding a Homeless Elderly Man" that has moved many people online recently. The scene was described by the netizen who took the photo.
No one expected that a post on the internet, a bowl of love-filled noodles, would spark heated debates online. Listen to the netizens' arguments:
The reporter met the elderly man at the rescue center. The frail-looking old man living in a small house recalled the scene:
The man feeding him is named Zhang Fushan, 35 years old, from Shangshui, Zhoukou, Henan Province, working as the security captain of a restaurant. Last Wednesday, Zhang captain arrived at work at nine o'clock as usual and saw this elderly man sitting in front of the restaurant.
"At first, I didn't pay much attention to the old man sitting there. In the afternoon, he was still sitting there. I found out he was seventy-five years old, surnamed Dong, named Dong Xinian, with no children. Seeing him cold in the drizzle, it was pitiful. I don't have much ability to help him. I gave him some money, but he refused. I thought giving him a bowl of noodles would ensure the old man stays warm. The next day, he came again to the same spot, so I gave him another bowl of noodles and a steamed bun when he left. On the third morning, when I came, he was gone."
Afterwards, staff from the Henan Provincial Shelter Management Center for Homeless Beggars arrived and took the old man away. Secretary Gong Xiaoyuan of the shelter told reporters:
"After arriving, his physical condition was particularly poor. The medical room immediately arranged for a doctor to examine and provide medicine, all free of charge. There were dedicated personnel cooking meals and taking care of his accommodation. His mental state has improved these past two days. Next, we plan to contact nearby nursing homes because his legs aren't in good shape, making movement inconvenient, requiring specialized care."
Faced with netizens' comments, the humble Zhang Fushan simply had this idea:
"If it's a publicity stunt, I hope we see more scenes like this often."
