After receiving the emergency call, the Yutiao Fire Station of Tongzhou District arrived at the scene. Learning that there might be someone inside the house, the firefighters immediately equipped their breathing apparatus and rushed into the burning room. They found an elderly man around 60 years old lying unconscious on the living room floor. Under the protection of water guns, one firefighter removed his own breathing apparatus and quickly placed it on the elderly man, then carried him down to a safe place on the ground floor. Twenty minutes later, the fire was extinguished.

The incident occurred at Unit 3, Building 3, Tuqiao New Village Community, Zhangjiawan Town, Tongzhou District. Eyewitness Mr. Zhang described that around 5 PM, while he was walking in the community, he suddenly saw thick smoke billowing from a resident's home on the second floor of Unit 3, Building 3, with flames continuously shooting out of the windows. He immediately called 119 for help.

According to reports by Beijing News (reporter Zhou Xin), yesterday afternoon, a fire broke out in a resident's home at Building 3, Tuqiao New Village, Tongzhou District. An elderly man was found unconscious in the living room. The firefighter who rushed into the fire scene immediately gave up his own breathing apparatus to successfully rescue the trapped elderly man.

Upon examination by the on-site doctor, the elderly man had been knocked unconscious due to smoke inhalation during the fire but was now conscious and unharmed. Subsequently, the elderly man was sent to a nearby hospital for further treatment via an ambulance. Last night, the fire department informed us that the origin of the fire was in the bedroom, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
