The surviving sister spoke about the incident. Yesterday afternoon, reporters found her being treated at the Armed Police Hospital in Nanjing. Her eyes were red and swollen, her neck injuries properly cared for, but there were many bruises on her face. She occasionally flashed a look of alarm.

As they prepared to descend the mountain, Madeleine regretfully mentioned missing the opportunity to descend with the couple, which could have saved them from their unexpected encounter.
Suddenly hijacked and strangled: About 300 meters down the hill, around 18:00, with no one on the road, the two sisters walking side by side suddenly heard rapid footsteps behind them. Turning to look, they didn't expect someone to pop out from behind, reining their necks without any explanation and dragging them down the hill. They were dragged about 300-400 meters into the woods. Xiaoping said the man used a very sharp knife, similar to a fruit knife, about 25 cm long. She lay still for over an hour, ensuring the criminal had left before climbing up.
