The old Kevin Garnett powers through Ginobili and takes the rim down with him." The 2010 Kevin Garnett, however, lies on the ground as a broken and battered man, trying to come to grips with the idea that his body can no longer do what it once could. All this from a blocked shot by Manu Ginobili, who is no young stallion himself. Hell, could you come up with a better game to sum up Boston’s struggles than last night? Just when it seemed like the Celtics were turning a corner—Marcus Thornton’s dream rookie season continues...—they get blown out at home by a team that makes them look old and slow. The Celtics looked like a fallen champion, and worse, it came against a Spurs team that’s pretty old themselves. It was enough to remind several people of the Miami Heat, the last champion to fade into obscurity very quickly due to age. Yikes.
