The rise of the "Shenlong No. 9" Tianhui Duofu freshwater shrimp fry has brought hope to farmers and unprecedented enthusiasm to investors, with very promising economic benefits. Around 120 pounds of breeding shrimp are released per acre, adopting a rolling reproduction and farming method annually, which can yield approximately 3000 pounds of shrimp per acre each year. A one-time release of shrimp breed means no further purchase is needed for 3-5 years, and the offspring do not degenerate or mutate, maintaining stable yields per acre over time.
Taking the base calculation of releasing 120 pounds of breeding shrimp per acre:
1. The number of female shrimp producing young per acre annually:
A. The number of shrimp breeds per acre: Release quantity 120 pounds/acre × 20 shrimps/pound = 2400 shrimps/acre
B. The number of female shrimp per acre: Total male and female shrimp 2400 × female proportion 1/2 = 1200 females/acre
After transportation, considering a survival rate of 95%, the number of female shrimp per acre would be 1200 × 95% = 1140.
2. The total annual shrimp production per acre:
A. The number of juvenile shrimp produced annually per acre: Assuming each female shrimp reproduces at least once a year with a minimum of 400 eggs per spawn, the total number of juvenile shrimp produced annually per acre would be 1140 shrimps/acre × 400 shrimps/spawn = 456,000 shrimps/acre/year.
B. The number of adult shrimp produced annually per acre: The survival rate from egg to juvenile shrimp is between 10%-35%. Using the minimum 10%, the total number of adult shrimp produced annually would be 456,000 shrimps/year × 10% = 45,600 shrimps/acre/year.
C. The total weight of adult shrimp produced annually per acre: Shrimp mature in 2-3 months and grow to about 50 grams (approximately 10 shrimps/pound), the total annual production per acre would be 45,600 shrimps/acre/year ÷ 10 shrimps/pound = 4560 pounds/acre/year.
D. The profit from adult shrimp produced annually per acre: At our company's lowest purchase price of $8/pound, the annual gross profit per acre would be 4560 pounds × $8/pound = $36,480/acre.
Net profit = Gross profit $36,480 - Breeding cost ($120 × $58) $6,960 = $29,520/acre.
Special Note: Feed costs are minimal and can be ignored (Tianhuiduofu shrimp feed sources include aquatic plants, algae, fruits and vegetables, livestock feed, rotten fish and meat, animal organs, etc.). There's no need to reinvest in shrimp breeds for 3-5 years, so profits will increase significantly from the second year onward. If sold during winter at city market prices around $15/pound or wholesale price of $10/pound, the revenue could be even higher. In some areas of northern provinces like Xinjiang, Gansu, Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang, the price can reach $20-$30/pound.
Additionally, using our company's three-dimensional farming technology in ponds, you can mix farm other fish such as silver carp, common carp, loaches, or specialty fish from the Yangtze River region, fully utilizing pond space and increasing farming profits. Furthermore, if located near a city, you could also open a "leisure fishing garden," attracting customers for fresh and exciting experiences, significantly boosting profits.
The above data is for theoretical reference only; high yields require practical experience, scientific management, and feeding practices.
