Dying during the game is an unpleasant experience, and unfortunately, it is inevitable. This happens when the character's health points run out, at which point a dialogue window will appear asking to release the spirit (if no choice is made within 6 minutes, the spirit will be released automatically). In ghost mode, you will deal with a gloomy environment; you can still see and hear everything around your corpse, but in this state, you cannot perform actions, not even access the quest log. All camera views are allowed, and it is possible to chat privately (in group or guild chats) but not in public ones. Once the spirit has been released, it will be automatically teleported to the nearest usable cemetery for your faction.

Cemeteries

Cemeteries are the places where spirits end up after death. Every zone has at least one cemetery, and many have more than one, positioned so that players don't have to travel long distances (usually less than 5 minutes) to reach their bodies. Many cemeteries can be used by both factions, designed to create interesting consequences in PvP mode.

How to Resurrect

When you are a spirit, there are three different ways to resurrect:

Corpse Run

The simplest way to resurrect is to return as a spirit to your corpse. The spirit moves 50% faster, making this a quick method with no penalties, aside from the time loss, which is usually less than 5 minutes. When you arrive in the area where your body is located, starting from a distance of 30 yards, a popup will appear that remains visible while you are within this radius, allowing you to choose a safe spot. Monsters and enemies will only become visible from a 50-yard radius around the corpse, not before. Resurrection will occur with 50% health and mana, giving you the chance to move away and find a safer location. The location of the corpse can easily be identified through the map (key M), and an arrow pointing towards the body will appear on the mini-map. This will help you locate the body, even if you are in an unfamiliar area.

Spirit Healer

It may happen that the corpse is in a very dangerous place once you resurrect. Therefore, it might be more convenient to be resurrected by a Spirit Healer, who allows you to do so in the cemetery (the one where the spirit was released after death). Using a Spirit Healer for resurrection results in a 25% durability loss for all items, both worn and in inventory, which must then be repaired by a blacksmith. This method of resurrection also causes about 10 minutes of Resurrection Sickness (nausea), depending on the level. This "nausea" will lower all character stats by 75%, gradually returning to normal automatically. Spirit Healers are found in all cemeteries and appear as winged archangels. They are also ghosts and cannot be seen while alive.

Player Resurrection

Another way to resurrect is to be revived by another player. Many classes, such as Priests, have the ability to bring players back to life. Resurrecting in this way incurs no penalties. There are also items that allow all classes to resurrect a character. For example, the Goblin Jumper Cable is an Engineering item that does this, though it doesn't always work. Players will come back to life next to the caster with a percentage of their health and mana depending on the spell or item used. Some classes, through spells, can resurrect themselves, such as Warlocks.

Ghost Form

When in spirit form, the world appears very different, and some game mechanics will change. The world is represented in a haunting black and white scale, with cloud formations. The background audio adds to the overall gloominess. The character becomes translucent and takes on an ethereal appearance. In ghost form, you have no health points. You can run on water and breathe underwater. You cannot interact with game objects. A closed door will remain so until a living player opens it, allowing you to pass through. You cannot cast any spells, abilities, or use items, although you can still view your inventory. You can see other ghosts while wandering, including those from the opposing faction.
