The death toll in the serial explosions on August 31 in Russia's Republic of Dagestan has risen to 12. The Russian police said that the first explosion occurred near the Kizlyar Interior Ministry in Dagestan, while the second one was carried out by a suicide bomber wearing a police uniform. The head of the Kizlyar Interior Ministry was killed in the explosion. In a statement, the Investigation Committee of Russia's Prosecutor General’s Office said that 12 people were killed in the explosion, nine of whom were police officers.
