This year is a lucky year for the disabled children aged 0-6 in our city. The provincial government has allocated more than 7 million yuan for the rehabilitation treatment of disabled children in our city, which has been warmly welcomed by families of poor disabled children. This morning, leaders from the provincial Disabled Persons' Federation (DPF) and various municipal federations gathered in Yancheng to bring good news to disabled children aged 0-6 in Yancheng. At the meeting, the leader of the Provincial DPF announced that as of today, disabled children aged 0-6 from poor families in our city can enjoy free rehabilitation treatment for hearing, intellectual disability, physical disability, autism, mental illness and other disabilities. Subsequently, they visited the rehabilitation center to see the disabled children there, who warmly welcomed the arrival of uncles and aunts with flowers and waist drums. At the Boai Rehabilitation Center, when they saw some cerebral palsy children receiving careful rehabilitation training and treatment here, they felt very consoled inside. Many parents of poor cerebral palsy children being treated here were extremely grateful for their arrival.

同期声:Parent of a cerebral palsy child: "We never expected it. Suddenly, the county government notified us that we would be sent to the Yancheng Rehabilitation Center for rehabilitation, and it was free. Later, we heard that the provincial government had allocated funds, telling us not to pay a penny, and asking us to come to the Yancheng Boai Rehabilitation Center for our children's rehabilitation. We thank the provincial government for giving our children such a good opportunity. If we went outside for rehabilitation, it would cost at least 150 yuan per day."

同期声:Parent of a cerebral palsy child: "I sincerely thank this rehabilitation opportunity because I have two children like my youngest son with disabilities. It's really not easy. The municipal government provided us with such an opportunity, and the Disabled Persons' Federation helped us see (the doctor), and gave us free treatment. If they charged money, we couldn't afford it."

Li Chengdong, the head of the center who has been practicing medicine for over ten years, also expressed deep feelings about this people-oriented project of the provincial government.

同期声: Director of Yancheng Boai Rehabilitation Center Li Chengdong: "The government can allocate so much money to provide free emergency rehabilitation for children aged 0-6, which is truly a people-oriented project and a hope project. It's really not easy. In all these years of my medical practice, I've never encountered such a good thing. On behalf of so many disabled children and their parents, I thank the government and its excellent policies."

According to reports, there are currently 2,323 registered children aged 0-6 in our city, including 184 with visual impairment, 447 with hearing and speech impairment, 622 with physical disability, 512 with intellectual disability, 48 with mental disability, and 510 with multiple disabilities. According to the plan, they will gradually receive rehabilitation treatment and training in batches, allowing all disabled children to truly enjoy this people-oriented policy of the Party and the government.

同期声: Deputy Secretary-General of Yancheng Disabled Persons' Federation Zhang Yunxiang: "Our entire disabled persons' federation system will not辜负the hopes of the provincial party committee and the provincial government, nor辜负the affection of the provincial DPF for us. We will spare no effort, with coordinated efforts between cities and counties, to ensure that all poor disabled children in the city enter into the free emergency rehabilitation training work, and fully complete this practical project of the provincial government."
