The three-day "2009 International (Wenzhou) Apparel Sourcing Trade Week and Global High-end Men's Wear Brand Joint Ordering Fair" opened yesterday at the Wenzhou Apparel Development Building. City leaders Zhao Yide, Bao Zhedong, Chen Xiaohua, and others attended the opening ceremony.
During this trade week, more than 50 international buyers from Italy, the United States, France, Australia, Hong Kong, and other regions will conduct business对接with over 200 domestic brands and more than 300 local Wenzhou apparel enterprises.
During the event, domestic and international buyers will find cooperation partners through product displays and business negotiations. The organizers also launched an "Italian Brand Agent Acquisition Special Session" and an "Italian Fabric Appreciation Analysis Meeting," allowing Wenzhou merchants to learn more about excellent Italian brands and share the latest international fashion trends together. Some Italian brands are even interested in attracting Wenzhou merchants to participate in operations through acquisitions and transfers, working together to develop business opportunities.
As one of the activities for the city’s "Government-Enterprise Synergy, Overcoming Difficulties" enterprise service year, the apparel sourcing trade week has built another new platform for Wenzhou apparel to go global. Pan Pingping, deputy director of the city's Foreign Economy and Trade Bureau, stated that services will be further optimized, fully leveraging the government's guiding role and the main role of enterprises, striving to create a favorable environment for Wenzhou apparel to go global, and creating better development space for the Wenzhou apparel industry.
At the same time, on the joint ordering fair booth covering an area of 4,000 square meters featuring global high-end men's wear brands, more than 100 Wenzhou men's wear manufacturing enterprises made a "grand appearance," conducting professional对接with the international negotiation and procurement team mainly consisting of Italian brand enterprises. Mr. Gili, president of the Northwest Italy Enterprise Federation, said that the对接platform created by the Wenzhou Apparel Development Building allows Italian buyers to more intuitively understand the strength of Wenzhou apparel, especially the Wenzhou high-end men's wear manufacturing enterprises, which have already reached a relatively high level of craftsmanship and fashion internationally.
Zheng Chen'ai, president of the Wenzhou Apparel Chamber of Commerce, said that they will take this opportunity to comprehensively promote Wenzhou high-end men's wear, aiming to build Wenzhou into the "China High-end Men's Wear Aggregation Base" within the next five years.
It is understood that the Wenzhou Apparel Development Building, as a shared platform for clusters of apparel enterprises, aims to establish a Wenzhou apparel "headquarters base." Through scale effects, it seeks to form production and sales advantages, promoting the apparel industry towards internationalization, fashionability, and cultural development. Currently, nearly 200 Wenzhou enterprises have moved in, and 150 enterprises have set up display centers here.
