One day, a bus driver was driving a passenger bus along a winding mountain road. Three ruffians on the bus had their eyes on the beautiful female driver. They forced her to stop the bus and wanted to take her off the bus to "have some fun". The female driver begged for help, but all the passengers remained silent.
Just then, a middle-aged, strong woman stood up in anger but was injured and fell to the ground. Enraged, she tried to get all the passengers to stop the violence together, but no one responded. She watched as the female driver was dragged into the forest by the three ruffians. Half an hour later, the three ruffians returned with the female driver whose clothes were torn. As the bus was about to start again, the female driver asked the injured, bleeding middle-aged woman to get off the bus. The woman refused to leave.
"Hey, you get off! My bus doesn't carry people like you!" said the female driver coldly. The middle-aged woman replied angrily, "How can you be so unreasonable? I just wanted to help you!"
"You helped me? What did you do to help me?" The female driver denied it outright, causing several passengers to laugh out loud. The middle-aged woman was furious, thinking why hadn’t this act of bravery saved her from being driven off the bus. Determined not to get off, she retorted, "I bought my ticket, I have the right to stay on the bus!"
The female driver coldly replied, "If you don't get off, I won't drive."
Unexpectedly, the passengers who had previously turned a blind eye to the violence now all joined in urging the woman to get off: "You'd better get off quickly, we have things to do and can't afford delays!" Some weaker passengers even tried to drag the middle-aged woman off the bus, reminiscent of the plot in Maupassant's "Boule de Suif".
The three ruffians laughed arrogantly. One leather-clad thug boasted shamelessly, "We've had our way with her!" The other two also blustered, "She's not our type, what's it got to do with you?"
In the ensuing argument, the woman's luggage was thrown out of the window, and she was pushed off the bus. The bus continued smoothly along the mountain road. The female driver smoothed her hair and turned on the recorder.
As the car sped towards the bottom of the mountain, taking a turn to go down, the road on the right was against the mountain while on the left was a hundred-meter cliff. The car quietly accelerated. The face of the female driver was calm, her hands firmly gripping the steering wheel, tears streaming down her eyes.
A thug seemed to sense something and shouted, "Drive slower! What the hell are you doing?" The female driver didn't respond; the car kept accelerating. The thug tried to lunge forward to grab the steering wheel, but the car shot toward the cliff like an arrow...
The next day, local newspapers reported: A tragic accident occurred last night in Tiger Mountain area, where a medium-sized bus plunged off a cliff. All 13 passengers on board, including the driver, perished.
The middle-aged woman who was thrown off the bus halfway cried when she saw the newspaper. No one knew what she was crying about or why.
