Four defunct hometown QQ groups were restored. Members of the group want to write materials and propose the introduction of relevant regulatory laws. "The disappearance of QQ groups in a day" was traced. Original report (by reporter Zhong Yijun): On the night of August 7, the original newspaper reported an incident where a QQ user's account was stolen, resulting in four of his QQ groups being disbanded. Last night, the group informed the original newspaper hotline that they had successfully retrieved the stolen QQ account, and the four defunct hometown QQ groups were also re-established. However, the text and image data stored in the group could not be restored, and currently, less than half of the former members have returned to the groups.

According to Jiaqi's introduction, on the evening of August 7, after regaining his QQ account, he re-established four QQ groups. "The group numbers are still the original ones, but the photos and materials in the group space are all gone," said Jiaqi. He has already notified more than a hundred members through phone calls and emails to re-enter the groups, but there are still about 200 people who cannot be contacted.

Jiaqi stated that after the incident occurred, he and several lawyer friends from the hometown QQ group agreed to draft written materials to appeal for relevant departments to introduce regulations. These regulations would restrict and prevent personal information leakage or sale, virtual currency, and other issues in cyberspace.

"QQ accounts being stolen is not a rare occurrence; it is a form of cyber-theft behavior," said "Chongdian de Midu" (a pseudonym, with a lawyer identity) from Jiaqi's hometown QQ group. Stealing QQ passwords actually infringes on users' personal privacy rights. Moreover, the thieves may use the stolen accounts to conduct various forms of "harassment" or illegal activities. "Chongdian de Midu" emphasized that the current legal system in this area is still blank. There should be authorization for relevant departments to take charge of supervision, restrict such unethical behaviors, and impose appropriate penalties on those who steal accounts.
