Shandong Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee held the third meeting on August 9 to decide to approve the criminal detention of Guo Jiguang, representative of the 11th Shandong Provincial People's Congress. According to the Public Security Bureau of the Ministry of Railways, Guo Jiguang, former deputy director of the Jinan Railway Bureau, was suspected of railway operation safety accident crime in the particularly serious Jiaojie railway traffic accident on April 28th.
In the early morning of April 28th, a special major accident occurred in which passenger trains derailed, turned over and collided on the Jiaojie railway line, resulting in 72 deaths and 416 injuries.
