The latest statistics show that in the smashing, bashing, looting and burning incident in Lhasa, a total of 242 public security officers and armed police were injured or killed while on duty, among which one was sacrificed and 23 severely injured. According to reports by Xinhua News Agency, on March 14th, a group of unlawful elements implemented smashing, bashing, looting and burning on main streets in Lhasa, the capital city of Tibet Autonomous Region. They committed arson, insulted, beat and slashed the on-duty personnel, rushed to key departments including news, finance, schools and public security organs, and looted and burned shops, schools, automobiles and hotels.
