Sichuan Pingchang recently suffered from a heavy rainstorm with large amounts of rainfall and long duration. Among the 90 rainfall stations in the city, 52 had more than 200 mm of rainfall, and 22 had more than 300 mm of rainfall. In particular, Heping Township in Nanjiang County had 459.5 mm of rainfall, Huashu Village had 426 mm, and Jinpen had 416.5 mm. The water level at Wangjiazhui in Pingchang County was 306.5 m, which is 7.73 m higher than the warning level and 2.3 m higher than the guaranteed water level. The flow rate reached 30,000 cubic meters per second.
