According to Jiangsu Television and Guiyang Evening News, a mass murder took place in Xuyi County of Jiangsu Province at around 4 September. Zheng (male, 32, from Guyun County of Lianyungang City) killed seven people including Wang Chengxian and Li Xiaozhong who were residents of the Stars Neighborhood Committee in Guiwu Town of Xuyi County. At around 9 pm on the same day, he surrendered to the Yangzhou police. The dead include a pregnant woman with twins. A press release from the Huai'an police said that they learned about the murders after the suspect Zheng surrendered to the police.
