First came the news that the boss was invited to "drink tea" with the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television. Then two flagship programs, Happy Camp and Everyday Upward were asked to make corrections. Yesterday, another bombshell dropped: it was rumored that starting from next year, HUNAN TV will be banned from holding tryouts. If the rumors prove true, then the Super Boy and Super Girl contests which have been held for seven years since 2004 (except for 2008 when it was suspended because of the Olympics) will officially come to an end. This year's Super Girl competition might become a swan song.
