Verification: The reporter compared these text messages with the information released on the China Earthquake Networks Center website, and found that 10 out of the 12 earthquake prediction text messages were basically accurate. The time when the text messages were sent differed by one to two days from the time of the earthquakes recorded on the China Earthquake Networks Center website, and the magnitudes were mostly close. The earthquakes predicted in the text messages were mostly above 6 in magnitude.
