I was born and raised in Harbin, Northeast China. Although I grew up singing songs like "Chop the devils' heads off with big knives...", and listened to our history teacher calling Japanese "Wokou" (Japanese pirates) and "devils" in hatred, and learned about Unit 731 in reports and exhibitions; but this did not affect my childhood impression of Japan. I still remember that when I was little, in the section of "Most desired place to go" on the autograph books, I always filled in "Japan".
