According to Vietnam local media reports quoted by the UK's Daily Telegraph, an extremely horrifying event in a small town in central Quang Nam Province of Vietnam was recently uncovered: A 55-year-old man, due to his deep longing for his deceased wife, dug up her remains one year after her death and slept with his wife's skeleton for five years.
The man is named Le Van. In 2003, his wife passed away. After that, because of his longing for his deceased wife, he slept beside her grave. One year and eight months later, he worried that the weather and cold would damage the coffin, so he decided to dig another pit next to the grave to "sleep together" with his wife. Le Van's children discovered their father's intentions and tried to stop him from doing so.
In November 2004, Le Van could no longer bear the torment of missing his wife, so he simply dug up his wife's bones, cast them into a model, and took his "wife" back home. Le Van dressed his "wife" and placed her on the bed, starting a life of sleeping together with his "wife."
Because there were remains in the house, neighbors have been afraid to visit his home for many years.
