Naval Station Norfolk in Virginia garnered its fair share of attention today as a crucial element of the rescue operation conducted in April 2009 to save cargo ship Captain Richard Phillips arrived in Norfolk. It was the lifeboat in which the captain had been held hostage by Somali pirates.
