One, Unprecedented Splendor - Opening Ceremony Evening Party "Songs Flying Over the Earth? 2009"
The "Songs Flying Over the Earth? 2009" evening party is hosted by the Large Event Office of Nanning City, the Culture Bureau of Nanning City, and the Songs Flying Over the Earth Cultural Communication Company. The famous director Xia Yu of CCTV, who directed the "Songs Flying Over the Earth" evening parties in 2001 and 2002, serves as the chief director. The creative team gathers top artists from China. "Flying Embroidered Balls" is one of the highlights of the 2009 Nanning International Folk Song Art Festival. The evening party fully relies on local forces in Nanning for planning and operation, mainly created by the local team in Nanning. It breaks through the traditional form of dance and song evening parties, focusing on highlighting "creativity" and "high technology" as the two core concepts. Taking "wherever the embroidered ball flies, there will be songs, and there will be love" as the main line, it fully combines video and lighting means to highlight the "magic", "strange", and "humorous" colors of the dance and song show. It beautifully showcases the unique customs and love of the five major ethnic minorities in Guangxi: Zhuang, Yao, Miao, Dong, and Jing. The evening party incorporates modern elements while continuing the classics of Guangxi folk songs, with a strong ethnic character, powerful modernity, and high artistic quality, giving the audience a visual impact of traditional art.

Hosted by the Culture Bureau of Nanning City, the Foreign Affairs Office of Nanning City, and the Songs Flying Over the Earth Company, with assistance from all counties, districts, and related units across the city. This year, 19 stages will be set up in various counties, districts, campuses, and communities in Nanning. As in previous years, the organizing committee will arrange foreign singers to participate in joint performances at each stage.
This year, the number of countries participating in the Nanning International Folk Song Art Festival is the highest ever, with more than 200 foreign artists from over 30 countries in Asia, Europe, Africa, America, and Oceania performing on each stage, offering exquisite artistic feasts to the citizens of Nanning and guests from home and abroad. The parade will take place on Minzu Avenue, consisting of chapters such as "Grace of Green City", "Songs from All Directions", "Harmony Ode", "Youth Blossom", and "Prosperous Dragon Soaring". During this year's "two meetings and one festival", the first China-ASEAN International Photography Festival will be held. This event is co-hosted by the Secretariat of the China-ASEAN Expo and the Nanning International Folk Song Art Festival Committee, and organized by the Songs Flying Over the Earth Company and the Blanca Culture Media Company. During the photography festival, two main activities and six special activities will be carried out. With the development of the Nanning International Folk Song Art Festival, it has not only become Nanning's business card but also Guangxi's business card, becoming a window platform for displaying Guangxi's ethnic minority culture, and a special symbol of Guangxi's cultural prosperity and development. To further promote Guangxi's ethnic culture and jointly create new highlights of Guangxi's ethnic culture, this year the organizing committee of the Nanning International Folk Song Art Festival has selected six points rich in ethnic characteristics and local artistic resources throughout the region as the "Nanning International Folk Song Art Festival Art Production Base". These six points are: Baise Youjiang Ethnic Minority Song and Dance Troupe, Longlin Various Nationalities County Ethnic Minority Song and Dance Troupe, Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County Art Troupe, Nandan County Art Troupe, Jinxiu Yao Autonomous County Yao Ethnic Art Troupe, Guangxi Zhuang Language School.
