According to China Weather Network, this year's No. 15 strong tropical storm "Mangkhut" strengthened into a typhoon on the sea surface of the northern South China Sea at 17:00 today (14th). At 17:00, the center was located about 315 kilometers southeast of Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province, at 20.6 degrees north latitude and 114.8 degrees east longitude, with maximum wind force of 12 (33 meters/second) near the center.
