Recently, the ravaging Typhoon Morakot caused heavy damage to some parts of both sides of the Straits, resulting in serious loss of life and property. In order to provide more help for the compatriots on both sides of the Straits affected by the disaster, the Chinese Red Cross Society recently announced to accept donations from all sectors of society, and published the donation method and donation hotline on the website (http://www.redcross.org.cn) of the Headquarters of the Chinese Red Cross Society.
