On June 20th, a chef at a hotel in Shishou City, Jingzhou, Hubei Province, was found dead in front of the hotel. Due to doubts about the police's preliminary investigation results, on the 19th, there was an incident on the local streets where the public set up roadblocks to watch and cheer.
On June 19th, the Shishou government website released a message titled "A Non-Normal Death Incident Occurred in Our City", stating that at 20:36 on June 17th, the Bijia Mountain Police Station of the Shishou Public Security Bureau received an instruction from the 110 emergency call center: A male corpse was found in front of the "Yonglong Grand Hotel" on Dongyue Mountain Road, Bijia Mountain Subdistrict Office.
