At around 14:20 on the 8th, a Toyota Crown 3.0 sedan with the license plate number粤MY0011, while driving to the entrance of the county bus station on Pingcheng Middle Road in the city, had an accident that resulted in 2 serious injuries and 8 other injuries. The two seriously injured individuals (Lan Yuqi, male, 7 years old; Cao Sanmei, female, 79 years old) died after being sent to the hospital for emergency treatment. The other 8 injured individuals are currently receiving treatment at the hospital and are not in danger of losing their lives. After the incident, eyewitnesses confirmed that the offending vehicle was a black Toyota Crown sedan with the license plate number粤MY0011, which belonged to a discipline inspection official from Pingyuan County.
