At around 15:00 on April 21, 2009, a wild Siberian tiger was spotted at the Heilongjiang Baowu'er Farm. Subsequently, the farm journalists who arrived later took pictures of the paw prints. After an investigation by Dr. Zhou Shaochun and researcher Lu Xiangdong, it was confirmed that these were the footprints of an adult male Northeast Tiger.
According to Chu Tian Golden Newspaper, at around 13:00 on April 21, four forest rangers from the 5th management zone of the 852 farm saw an animal come out from the woods in the north while they were driving home. It slowly walked into the cornfield in the south. It was about 2 meters long, very thick-bodied, with a fairly long tail, and stood at around 1.2 meters high. After walking more than twenty meters into the cornfield, it probably saw the vehicle and immediately turned back, retreating to the woods in the north.
