Starting today, registration for the 2009 Guangdong Province civil servant examination is now open, with a total of over 9,600 positions available province-wide.
Of these, 2,563 positions are being offered by provincial government offices and their directly affiliated institutions—more than two times the number of recruits last year (986 people)! Even more excitingly, the city of Guangzhou is simultaneously recruiting 542 civil servants for the public security, procuratorate, court, and judicial systems. Registrations will continue until 16:00 on April 7th, with the written exam scheduled to take place on April 26th.
Only those holding a bachelor's degree or higher without permanent residency in Guangdong are eligible to apply
This recruitment drive for civil servants targets full-time regular higher education institution graduates of 2009 (定向生限在定向地区报考 -定向 students are limited to taking exams in designated regions) as well as individuals from society at large who possess a nationally recognized associate degree (in some individual special positions, high school diplomas are accepted) or higher. The recruitment process is conducted publicly.
