Not long ago, a 200,000 tons level large plastic pelletizer developed by Dalian Rubber & Plastic Machinery Co., Ltd. will formally begin manufacturing. This is the first set of large plastic pelletizers in China to be localized and has entered the formal implementation stage.
Plastic pelletizer is a major equipment in the post-processing procedure of polyethylene and polypropylene devices, integrating machinery, electricity, and instrumentation with a high level of automatic control. It is one of the key equipment for large ethylene projects. Currently, internationally, only a few companies such as Germany's W·P Company possess design, manufacture, installation, and debugging technologies. Domestically, there have been several attempts to manufacture 70,000 tons level plastic pelletizers through cooperation with foreign companies, but they were not entirely successful.
Large plastic pelletizer units require a production capacity of over 50 tons per hour, equivalent to an annual output of 300,000 to 400,000 tons, making their design and manufacture very challenging. They are extremely expensive on the international market, with individual unit prices ranging from 5 million to 7 million US dollars. Despite this, due to the rapid increase in demand for pelletizers in recent years, overseas pelletizer products remain highly sought after and in short supply.
